New Trail Opens!

Opening of Trail to 15 Wing Official Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

Wednesday May 24, 2006 @ 11:30 am
Location:  Entrance of the Trans Canada Trail / PMQ Fenceline

BBQ at 12:00 noon at the MFRC BBQ area
All proceeds will be donated in support of Relay for Life 2006

3 km of trail from 15 Wing to Connor Park developed!

Thank you to Bombardier Aerospace and the Saskatchewan Parks and Recreation Association for funding for the project. Thanks also goes to the City of Moose Jaw and the Saskatchewan Department of Highways for giving access to land for the building of this trail.

Year Round Fun and Adventure

The Trail is open for hikers, walkers, cyclists and cross-country skiers all year round.   Horseback riders are allowed on the trail outside of the city limits.

Where is the trail in Moose Jaw?

The trail is 11 km in length and runs from 15 Wing, through Connor Park near 9th Ave. S. W. to Coteau St. E. at 8th Ave. S. E.  Access points are at 15 Wing, Connor Park, 7th Ave. S.W., Wellesley St. in Churchill Park (under the bridge on Highway 2 South ), just south of the Burger Cabin in River Park (across the bridge) and Coteau St. E. at 8th Ave. S.E.

Is more trail going to be built near Moose Jaw?

Yes.  The goal is to have a trail to Buffalo Pound Lake.

Individuals, businesses and organizations are encouraged to join with the Moose Jaw and Area Trans Canada Trail Committee and play an active role in this endeavor. How can I donate to the Moose Jaw and Area 
Trans Canada Trail?

Donation and Membership Form  All contributions to the Moose Jaw Trans Canada Trail Committee remain in this community.  All donations are used towards the building and maintenance of the trail in the Moose Jaw area.  Donations can be made by cheque through the mail to:

  • A tax deductible receipt for the full amount will be issued.  
  • All contributions are used locally.
  • Any amount is welcome.

How can I become a member of the Moose Jaw and Area Trans Canada Trail committee?

Donation and Membership Form  Membership in the local organization is $15.00/year.

The Moose Jaw and Area Trans Canada Trail Committee is an organization dedicated to designing and developing a shared-use trail which will link Moose Jaw residents with their rural neighbors and our local communities with the Trans Canada Trail.
